Amanda Johnson

Associate Attorney

Amanda Johnson was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Colorado, Boulder and her Juris Doctor and Degree in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert School of Law at Louisiana State University.

In law school, Amanda was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship and the John P. Laborde Endowed Scholarship, which is awarded to students with a strong academic performance. She also participated in the Juvenile Defense Clinic, where she was able to advocate for children facing serious legal trouble. She received the CALI Award for the highest grade in her Contracts class, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Energy Law and Policy. She was also a member of the Women Law Students Association, the Public Interest Law Society, and was the secretary of the Environmental Law Society.

After graduation, Amanda law clerked for the Hon. Judge A. Bruce Jones in Denver District Court. She was able to prepare briefs, memoranda, and postconviction orders for the Judge as well as see how the judicial process operates from behind-the-scenes. This experience in criminal court allowed her to see first-hand how important it is to advocate compassionately for your clients and furthered her commitment to helping those in need.

Now working in family law, Amanda believes that everyone deserves a fair outcome to their case and aims to use her law degree to advocate for those needing to rebuild their lives after going through difficult and traumatic experiences. She focuses on communication and commitment to her clients.

In her free time, you can find Amanda skiing, cheering on the LSU Tigers, and hanging out with her dogs.
